Term and Conditions

Before commencing training all pupils must be in possession of a valid UK provisional license (Group B), you are required to show this on your first lesson.  This also to applies to Student/Young Scot discount where appropriate ID should be provided.

Insurance

All fees cover insurance for the training vehicle being used and also cover pupils for insurance during the driving test.

Fees

Please refer to the appropriate pages on our website for current fee information.
Our current policy is to require no less than 24 hours notice for the cancellation of driving lessons, which is to be given to the appropriate pupils instructor.
Please consider a taster lesson with your instructor before paying for a block booking, intensive course or semi intensive course.  It will be assumed that, once booked in by your instructor, the time slot given to you will be the same each week for the duration of the block or course. The course will commence once payment has been received by Fast Pass Instructor.
If an instructor has to cancel a course or block for any reason then a refund will be given by the instructor for any lessons not completed.

Payment

Payment can be made by cash or cheque to an instructor at the beginning of the lesson or by bank transfer to Fast Pass by prior arrangement with Fast Pass only. Fast Pass accept no resposibility for any payments made without prior arrangement.
For block bookings and courses payments must be paid on or before the first lesson. It is a good idea to pay for your first block at the end of the first lesson, that way you can make sure you get on with your instructor.

Appointments

All lessons times are conducted by individual instructors. Instructors will do their best to meet appointments made,  however on occasion circumstances beyond their control may mean cancellation or rescheduling may be required (usually due to traffic conditions, adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown of equipment or other reasons beyond the instructors control). Under these circumstances, the instructor will endeavour to re-schedule lessons at a more suitable time.
Pupils should be fit to take lessons and not be under the influence of drink or drugs. Mobile phones should be switched off or turned to silent unless by prior arrangement with the instructor.

Tests

Recommended course materials for the theory test are the Highway code and DSA CD Roms with practice tests on. Remember that the knowledge required for the theory test is not just to pass the theory test but also required for your practical driving and test.
Instructors have the right to withhold the training vehicle if the instructor believes that the pupil does not meet the mininum standard required to attend a practical driving test. In these circumstances the Fast Pass  will not be held responsible and fees will not be returned.
For driving courses tests will not be booked until payments are received.

Personal property

While instructors will endeavour to return any property found in their tuition vehicle, we cannot be held responsible for any property lost but not found.

Complaints

All of our driving instructors are registered with the DSA. However if you do have a complaint Fast Pass will only deal with complaints directly from the pupil concerned. Any greivance will be dealt with initially by the instructor concerned and they will do their upmost to resolve the matter promptly and satisfactoraly to both parties. Initially this will take place by informal discussion between pupil and instructor, if this procedure is not adhered to then the company will deal with the complaint.

For any other complaints please write to Fast Pass by email initially within 30 days at info@fast-pass.net. You will then receive a formal reply in writing by post.
